From   Interstate-81 travelling South:

    • Take Exit 45 (College Street) and bear right at the ramp.

 

    • Thornwald Mansion entrance is about 1/2 mile on the right.

 

    • Turn right at the road Bicentennial Drive after the sign of the Thornwald        Mansion through the original entrance with brick wall.

 

    • Take the road Bicentennial Drive and bear to the left until the stop sign.

 

  • Go right past the parking lot and you will see the mansion on your right after a short drive.
 From Pittsburgh (approx. 188 miles):

 

    •  PA Turnpike E (I-76) to exit 226 (Rt 11 S)

 

    • Bear right after toll booth and take US 11 S about 2.5 miles

 

    • (Rt 11 S) turns into N. Hanover St. Go straight through downtown Carlisle.

 

    • N. Hanover St becomes S. Hanover St. After 2 miles turn right onto Noble Blvd.

 

    • Go past the shopping center and 3 stop signs.

 

  • Then enter the park, and turn left and you will see the mansion on your right after a short drive.

  •   Thornwald Mansion entrance is about 1/2 mile on the right.

 

  •   Turn right at the road after the sign of the Thornwald Mansion through the original gate.

 

  •   Take the road Bicentennial Drive and bear to the left until the stop sign.

 

  •   Go right past the   parking lot and you will see the mansion on your right after a short drive.

 

 From Washington DC (approx. 130 miles):

    • Rt.270 N to Frederick, MD

 

    • Rt. 15 N to Rt 94 N

 

    • Rt. 94 N to Rt 34 N

 

    • Rt. 34 N into Carlisle (approx. 9 miles) / Hanover St

 

    • Take the 1st left (Noble Blvd) after the intersection with I-81. Go past the shopping center and 3 stop signs.

 

  • Then enter the park, and turn left and you will see the mansion on your      right after a short drive.

 
From Harrisburg International   Airport and PA Turnpike from the East:

 

    • Bear left on ramp to Airport Connector and continue about 2 miles

 

    • Exit on ramp to PA-283-W and continue about 1.5 miles

 

    • Bear right to 283-S and continue .5 miles

 

    • Exit on ramp to PA Turnpike W (I-76) and continue about 21 miles to exit 226(Rt 11 / Harrisburg Pike)

 

    • Bear right after toll booth and take US 11 S about 2.5 miles

 

    • (Rt. 11 S) turns into N. Hanover St. Go straight through downtown Carlisle.

 

    • N. Hanover St becomes S. Hanover St. After 2 miles turn right onto Noble        Blvd.

 

    • Go past the shopping center and 3 stop signs.

 

  • Then enter the park, and turn left and you will see the mansion on your        right after a short drive.

 

 From Baltimore (approx. 93 miles):

 

    • I-83 N to PA Turnpike W (I-76)

 

    • PA Turnpike to exit 226 (Rt 11 S)

 

    • Bear right after toll booth and take US 11 S about 2.5 miles

 

    • (Rt. 11 S) turns into N. Hanover St. Go straight through downtown Carlisle.

 

    • N. Hanover St becomes S. Hanover St. After 2 miles turn right onto Noble Blvd.

    • Rt. 78 W to I-81 S

 

    • I-81 S to exit 45 (College        St)

 

    • Bear right at the ramp.
