This turn-of-century mansion, once home to Lewis Sadler has been restored to its full splendor. The Inn bed and breakfast is located in the heart of the Thornwald Park offering a beautiful setting for any type of events, weddings, stay at the Inn, SPA treatments and many other retreats to escape from everyday life.

In 1911, Lewis Sadler completed construction of a vast Palladian villa, Thornwald Mansion, on a wooded tract off the Walnut Bottom Road.  Sylvester Sadler moved in with his brother and sister-in-law, and the library, which was a large room with a fireplace and a safe hidden behind bookshelves, became filled with his numerous first editions of English and American classics.

In 2010 Rkia Hall purchased the mansion, after many years of neglect and big fire in 2007 that left the building with only walls standing as ruins to tell the time. The property went through a massive restoration to its full splendor with every attention to luxury and historical detail.

The mansion celebrates the legacy of life lived once by entertaining the biggest politicians of this country while providing modern-day comfort and amenities.

Whether you are here for business or pleasure, you’ll enjoy a restful night and wake up to the sound of birds in the middle of the park with a hearty breakfast, and then welcome the abundance of cultural and recreational activities the surround area has to offer, enough to satisfy any personality and desire.
